New Ford F-150 Diesel Variants Caught While Testing

The powerful, versatile Ford F-150 has been the top-selling vehicle in the United States for more than 30 years – and yet, there is currently no diesel variant of this popular pick-up truck.

Fortunately, it appears as if that’s about to change in the very near future- Ford is making sure of that.

Ford F-150 diesel models have been caught testing at Ford’s testing facilities in Michigan, and some spy videos of the vehicles – hardly in camouflage – have even been captured. You can check out a video, here, thanks to Automotive News (subscription required).

Until more details are released, it’s hard to say much more about the apparently upcoming F-150 diesel model, but we’d guess that it will be much more fuel-efficient than the 2016 Ford F-150 trims currently available. Any new trim of the legendary truck would make us happy, being this close makes it even harder though.

Hopefully, these models in testing are a sign that more official information is soon to come. Until then, if you’d like to explore some of the Ford vehicles we have to offer or just have a few questions, visit or call us anytime at Pegues Hurst Ford. If the diesel variant does arrive, be sure we’ll be just as excited.
