List of 2017 Super Duty Features Expands to 17 Options

The well established 2017 Super Duty features are expanding to include an array of driver assist technologies, new lighting, premium infotainment, and more. In total, this new pickup will come with 17 exclusive features, making it truly one of a kind.

According to Ford, one of the most complex systems in its new truck is the Adaptive Cruise Control. Using sensors to keep you at a safe following distance, this driver assist technology has been specially adapted for towing and hauling. Now, the model is capable of maintaining a preset speed and safe distance behind the vehicle ahead, even with a heavy load, with just the push of a button. Hauling the family about or going on a tool laden journey just became much easier.

“Towing is core to the Super Duty mission, and drivers will appreciate the engineering sophistication that enables adaptive cruise control to determine speed uphill and downhill with a trailer,” says Craig Schmatz, Ford Super Duty chief engineer. “We have torture-tested the technology in high elevations and on significant grades at places like Davis Dam in Arizona, Loveland Pass in Colorado and the mountain roads surrounding Beckley, West Virginia.”

The Adaptive Cruise Control system also come with collision warning and brake support as well, preventing crashes that might be caused by other driver’s slamming on their brakes. Additional new features include Adaptive Steering, BLIS, BoxLink, SYNC 3, a utility lighting system, and more. Paired with a powerful 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel engine, the new Super Duty promises to be one of the best pickups on the road.
