Ford Shows Off Hardcore EcoSport Storm in Brazil

While it’s not sold here in the United States, Ford’s smallest crossover, the EcoSport is sold in dozens of countries around the world, including Brazil. At the recent Sao Paulo Auto Show, Ford showed off a hardcore EcoSport Storm based on the SVT Raptor.

The Raptor inspiration is evident right away. At the front end, a large mesh grille with giant FORD lettering is the first clue. Then, black wheels with chrome accents, LED fog lamps, a matte black hood, a custom paint job, custom graphics, and a Blue Storm pain color complete the picture.

Depending on the market, the EcoSport is powered by either a 1.0-liter diesel or 1.5-liter gasoline engine and returns impressive fuel numbers that range from 37 mpg to 53 mpg.

Small crossovers like the EcoSport are becoming more and more popular. So, while Ford says it has no plans to introduce the EcoSport here in the U.S., perhaps this will change in the coming years as the segment continues to take off.

Would you like to see a compact crossover like the EcoSport added to the Ford lineup?
